Downtown Mannheim

One day after I got off work, everyone was ready so I rushed to change clothes and headed downtown. When Ryan and I arrived to the Mannheim Community, we had to take a class which was called Head Start. Head Start is a class in which you get familiar with the German economy and the surrounding area. We took a trip to downtown Mannheim with our class and it was just BEAUTIFUL. So, when family comes to visit, we must take them into the city to see the sites. It is so close and able to see it all in one afternoon, so it works out perfect. Mannheim is known for the water tower, which is where the fests that happen in town all go on around the base and down the streets around the tower. Attached are just a few pictures to show how beautiful Mannheim is in the summer time. Let's just say that downtown Mannheim looks totally different in the summer than in the winter! Hope you enjoy all the pictures!

From the water tower, we walked across town to an old castle which is now the University. It is huge and has a BEAUTIFUL church attached to it. These pictures really do the church no justice and is something that you have to see with your own eyes to believe and see just how beautiful it is.

From one BEAUTIFUL church to another! Inside these churches, you can not use your flash due to the paintings. The large number's of flashes will fade the painting over time, so we do our part and turn our off! With all the windows, a flash is really not needed during the day!

Loved having family here,
