Trip to Virginia!

Not only did Ryan and I make the trip to TEXAS, but we also went to Virginia for a short visit too. W e have both come to the conclusion that 2 weeks of leave and having to visit TEXAS and Virgina, is just not near enough time to do all we wanted to do. We will be making another trip soon, but I am hoping to stay much longer next time. While in Virginia, my sister-in-law, Caitlin, graduated from the University of Virginia. We were so excited to get to watch her walk the lawn and then again at her separate graduation for all graduate's with a History major.

Caitlin, we are so proud of you! Congratulations Graduate! Now hurry and get back to Germany.

Grandad, Ryan, Josh, Caitlin, Cullen, and I

Cullen is also playing baseball, so we were able to make practice and even to a game. He has gotten so good and loves that his dad was able to be there.

Strikin' a pose for me!

Cullen loves to play Laser Tag with his Uncle Josh, but having his dad home and take him, just made this little man's trip PERFECT! If he could of had it his way, we would have gone everyday. Right up the road from my mother-in-law's is this indoor laser tag, Swadder's, that was just pretty neat. I have not ever played, much less be inside of the actual course. So, when the time came and it was our turn, you guessed it right, I was the camera girl! It was so much fun just watching them play against another dad and his son, plus they KILLED them, which made it just that much more fun for Cullen.

Getting their gear on!

Inside the course!

Just like when we go to TEXAS, we get with all of our friends there. We must do the same in Virginia. I have lots of pictures with friends, but I have not uploaded them just yet. It was so good seeing everyone and it really makes me want to move back to the states soon. Thank goodness for our vonage phone, so we can call anytime for FREE!
Enjoying the BBQ!

Little Miss Zoie

Just wanted to share the pictures I have from Kali of Miss Zoie. She has a head FULL of hair and is just as cute as can be. Kali said she has so much hair that the clip bows are already in her hair and there is no need for the velcro. Seeing her makes us even more excited about headed to TEXAS in 25 days.

I can't believe Kali is graduting this year. Our family has seen her grow since she was born. Just goes to show how fast time really does fly when you are having fun. She is such a BEAUTIFUL young lady with the best personality. Miss you tons Kali and can't wait to be there to meet little Miss Zoie!

I had sent out an email to many that don't have blogs. Just proves once again~PRAYER is a BEAUTIFUL thing!

WHY???

I really need to vent and this seems like the perfect place to let it all out and see if it is just me or does this happen to others as well. Today we had the repair men in our building. They just come by and see if you have anything that needs to be fixed and they fix it right then and there. Thing is someone has to be here to let them in and out. So, my morning started at 0430 when the alarm went off for me to get up, shower, get dressed to be at the dental clinic at 0545. We had a group of soldiers who had just gotten home from Iraq and they have to come through the clinic to be "reintegrated" into the system. Anyways~that was from 0545-0800 when I had to be back at the house to let the repair men in. I got home at 0800ish and they didn't arrive until like 0845. When I walked in the door, Ryan is on the computer so I started doing things that I have needed to get done, but just have been pooped by the end of the day that all I want to do is cook dinner, shower, and off to bed. Ok, so I started buzzin' around when he says, "I hope you don't think I am going to start cleaning at 0800 in the morning." So I told him, "I am just doing things that need to be done and you can help at any moment." Nope, he stayed sitting right here on the computer as if I was not doing anything. I then cooked breakfast, brought it to him, started the dryer over to fluff the wrinkles out of the clothes that were left in there from last night, started a new load of laundry, unloaded the dishes, cleaned the George Foreman grill from lunch the day before, and the made my breakfast. By the time my pancakes where even done cooking, he was walking back into the kitchen with his plate. So happy he waited for me~right? I then ate my pancake, cleaned the kitchen, folded the clothes that were in the dryer, took the clothes from the washer to put into the dryer, and started another load. Can you guess what the hubby is doing? YES-still on SPORTS online. Then the door bell rang and it was the men to fix the cabinet door and tell me that our smoke detectors are not up to standard. I called the office to get a different work order for them to come back another day. Tomorrow was the day they can come back to do this repair. Which means half a day off work since someone has to be here again. I was to get them in and out in no time, so I took a little nap. To wake up to the hubby coming into the living room. I knew it was time to eat again, just by the way he acts. I swear he is a big baby sometimes. So I started lunch. We had BLT's (bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwiches) and they were YUMMY! Again, I cook, I clean, I put away dishes, fold the clothes that were in the dryer and start another load. Ryan decides he wants to watch a movie while I tried to decide if I wanted to go back to work. We watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre and it is CRAZY scary!! I then get dressed to head back to work, set out the meat for spaghetti for dinner, turned the dryer on one more time, since it was towels, they weren't dry just yet, then off to work I go. We are working later than normal hours, since there in an inspection in May. I leave and Ryan is on the couch playing his XBOX. When I get home....anyone want to guess where he was??? Yes, still on the couch. It is not 0545 and the meat is still in the sink, towels still in the dryer, and a load of whites still in the washer. He had done NOTHING but play his game. I get home, still in uniform and start dinner. Take the towels out of the dryer, fold, put them away, put whites in the wash and he is STILL playing his game. The weather is cold and nasty, so he wouldn't be outside doing anything, but he could help me just a little bit. I am just tired and worn out and feel like I am getting no help sometimes, well alot of the times. I am headed to eat dinner then to take my shower and off to bed to start this all over again tomorrow. Thanks for listening to me vent.

Tired and venting,
Alicia

Waiting Ever So Patiently...

On March 8th, Heaven, Angel and I all came together to throw Kayla a baby shower. We had such a great turn out and played so many games that we forgot to even get a picture of the Mommy-to-be with all her hostesses. Not to worry Brayden will be here before we know it and I will be posting many many more of the little man. I am past the point of being patient. To me she has been pregnant FOREVER, but if you ask her she thinks it flew by and is getting a little nervous for what is to come. I know she will be a wonderful little mommy!

Better Late Than Never....

So once again, I am forever late on posting. I do manage to jump on here and check in with everyone, to see how all the belly's are growing and see how much all the little one's have grown, but then never add anything exciting from Germany. Time sure seems to be flying by for us, maybe not for some of you that are awaiting the new ones, but here it is already March and I still have not posted anything for February.
Ryan and I did manage to go out for dinner on Valentine's Day. Ryan was a very lucky man...he went to dinner with four women. Kayla's husband had to work, Angel and Imani joined due to dad being in Iraq, and then me of course. I couldn't think of a better group Ryan could have spent Valentine's Day with.
